Terms of use
Last updated: 1 October 2026
These terms explain the rules for the RL Portal website and its connected community features. RL Portal is a privately operated community project, not an official Rocket League service or a seller of in-game items.
1. The project and its operator
RL Portal is a personal community project operated from the Netherlands by its private operator. Contact: rlportal.contact@gmail.com.
The website provides player lookups, profiles, leaderboards, rank statistics, item-shop information, news, challenges, population information, and connected community tools. These terms concern RL Portal's own service. They do not replace the agreements that apply to Discord, Epic Games, Psyonix, or your game platform.
2. Accounts and verification
Use Discord login and account verification only for an account you control or are authorized to manage. Do not impersonate another player, falsely claim ownership, share verification commands with someone attempting to claim your account, or bypass access controls. Keep your own platform credentials secure; do not submit passwords through profile fields or support requests.
Verification confirms control through the available verification procedure. It is not a guarantee of someone's real-world identity, conduct, or trustworthiness. Claiming a profile publicly associates your Discord identity with that player profile. You can request review, correction, or removal of an association through the operator.
Comply with the age and account requirements of the external services you use. Where applicable law requires a parent or guardian's authorization, obtain it before providing the relevant consent or entering an agreement.
3. Acceptable use
- Do not harass people, publish private information without a lawful basis, impersonate others, or use profiles for threats, scams, or unlawful content.
- Do not submit malicious links, malware, misleading ownership claims, or content that infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not disrupt the service, bypass security or rate limits, access records you are not authorized to access, or use automated requests in a way that harms availability.
- Use public information responsibly. Public availability does not give unrestricted permission to republish personal information or third-party material.
4. Content you publish
You remain responsible for the biography, social links, and other content you choose to submit. Only publish information you have the right to share. Those fields are public and may be visible through player pages, search engines, and connected RL Portal features.
You retain ownership of your own content. By submitting content for publication, you give the operator permission to store, format, and display it as needed to provide the requested feature. This permission does not transfer ownership or allow unrelated advertising use. You can clear editable fields or request removal, subject to any lawful reason to retain a limited record.
5. Reporting content and moderation
Report suspected unlawful content, impersonation, privacy concerns, or other misuse to the operator using the contact details above. Include the profile or page URL, the specific content, why you believe it is unlawful or violates these rules, and a way to contact you. Reports should be made in good faith.
We may remove or restrict content, correct an ownership association, or limit access when reasonably necessary to address a rule violation, a legal obligation, or a security risk. Profile fields also have technical length and format checks. Where required by law, the affected user receives an explanation of the decision and available ways to challenge it. You can ask the operator to review a decision and provide relevant evidence.
6. Accuracy, availability, and the item shop
Statistics, rankings, prices, and rotations depend on upstream information and may be cached, incomplete, delayed, or incorrect. Verify important information in the game or with the relevant provider. A shop listing on RL Portal is informational: no in-game purchase is made from the operator through that listing.
The project may experience outages, maintenance, feature changes, or discontinuation. We do not promise uninterrupted service, official status, or a particular game result. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or removes mandatory rights you have under applicable law.
7. Third-party material and services
Rocket League, Psyonix, Epic Games, Discord, and other names and materials belong to their respective owners. RL Portal is independent and is not endorsed by those providers. Displaying a game icon, item image, team logo, or external link does not transfer rights in that material or grant you a licence to redistribute it.
External websites and services have their own terms and privacy practices. They may change or withdraw access to information used by the project.
8. Privacy
Our privacy policy explains data use, cookies, and privacy rights. Optional analytics is a separate choice and is not a condition of accessing the service. These terms do not authorize processing that otherwise requires your consent.
9. Changes and applicable law
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the service or legal requirements. Updates apply prospectively and are identified by the date on this page. Where law requires advance notice or a separate agreement, we follow those requirements.
Dutch law applies, subject to mandatory protections and rights available under other applicable law. These terms do not require you to waive a statutory complaint route, privacy right, or right to bring a claim before a court with lawful jurisdiction.
